Cookie Policy
This site sets no cookies. Not one, of any kind, from anyone. This page explains what that means, what happens instead, and what would change if it ever stopped being true.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small piece of data that a website asks your browser to store and to send back on later requests, which lets the site recognise the same browser over time. Cookies can be set by the site you are visiting or by a third party whose code the site loads, and they are the usual foundation of analytics, advertising and login sessions.
What this site does
Nothing of the sort. conceptbase.online sets no cookies of its own, and it permits no third party to set cookies through it, for the straightforward reason that it loads no third-party code at all. Specifically, there is:
- no analytics of any kind, including self-hosted analytics;
- no advertising tag, conversion pixel, remarketing tag or measurement script;
- no social media embed, share widget, video embed or comment system;
- no chat widget, A/B testing tool or personalisation service;
- no web fonts, stylesheets, scripts or images loaded from another host, including content delivery networks;
- no session identifier, because there is nothing to log into and no state to keep.
Because nothing is set, there is no consent banner on this site. A banner asking permission to do something we do not do would be a false statement, and a reviewer who checked would find it. Where there is nothing to consent to, the correct number of consent prompts is zero.
Other browser storage
The site uses no localStorage, no sessionStorage, no IndexedDB and no browser fingerprinting. The only JavaScript on the site is one first-party file that opens and closes the navigation menu on narrow screens; it stores nothing and makes no network request. You can read it in full at /assets/main.js, and nothing on this site is minified or obfuscated.
What happens instead
Two things, both described in more detail in the privacy policy.
First, the hosting provider records ordinary server logs when a page is requested: the IP address, the browser's user agent string, the URL requested and the date and time. These are generated by the act of serving the page, are used for security and diagnostics, and are retained for up to 90 days. They are not cookies, they do not follow you between sites, and they are not used to build any profile.
Second, if you follow one of the paid links on this site, you leave it. What the destination does — including whether it sets cookies of its own — is governed by that site's policies, not by this one. The affiliate disclosure explains what those links are.
Managing cookies anyway
Even though this site sets none, other sites will, and every major browser lets you control them. In Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari the controls sit under privacy or site settings, where cookies can be blocked entirely, blocked for third parties only, cleared for a single site or cleared on exit. Your browser's own help pages are the accurate reference, since the menus move between versions. Blocking cookies has no effect on this site, which will work identically either way.
If this ever changes
If a cookie, an analytics tool or any third-party script is ever introduced to this site, this page will be updated to describe exactly what is set, by whom and for how long, and a working consent mechanism will be in place before the first cookie is set — not after. Until this page says otherwise, the position described above is the complete and current one.
